Description

Gonio Fortress is a museum-reservation located 15 km south of Batumi and is one of the most geographically important and ancient places in Georgia.
This place is a real discovery for enthusiast of historical monuments. Artifacts found in the fortress date back to the 5th century BC. The program includes a visit to the Sarpi Resort, famous for its clean beach and sea. You will also visit the ethnographic museum "Borjgalo", which consists of two zones - indoor and outdoor. It presents for viewing several hundred works by the wood carving master Kemal Turmanidze, along with exhibits of Georgian heritage. You will get acquainted with the history, traditions and culture of the Georgian people. On the territory of the museum there are 30 huts inhabited by mannequins, dressed in traditional clothes and showing the way of life of the region.
After the tour, you will have lunch, where you will try the famous Adjarian dish - khachapuri-boat.
