A half day tour to the first capital of Georgia - to Mtskheta. According to the tour program we will visit three most important monasteries: Svetitskhoveli cathedral, Samtavro church, Jvari. Mtskheta - the first capital of Georgia, founded in the 5th century B.C. by legendary Mtskhetos. During the tour you will visit churches of the ancient city of Mtskheta and its environs. In the heart of the town is Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where is buried the robe of Christ. At the Samtavro church you can see the miraculous icon of St. Nina. You will go up to the church, where was built the first Orthodox cross — Jvari. From the observation platform of the church offers a beautiful view of the confluence of the rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers and the city of Mtskheta.
